As we are but 2 minutes from the Aonach Mor Ski Centre, you would expect Skiing, Snow Boarding and other such pursuits. Well, you are not wrong. Achnabobane is perfectly situated for anyone wishing to ski or follow any of the winter sports that the Centre offers. Most of the ski runs and lifts/tows can be seen from the Farmhouse. We calculate that if you are swift enough, it is possible, from breakfast to piste in a about 30 to 45 minutes.

Distillery established in 1825, is one of the oldest licensed distilleries
in Scotland. The distillery is nestled at the foot of Britain's highest
mountain, Ben Nevis, which has a summit elevation of 4406 feet above sea
level. This imposing mountain provides an impressive background to a traditional
Scottish craft.
Ben Nevis Distillery is a very short distance from us, on the A82 toward Fort William.
